What is adsfly? How does it work?
adsfly is a website that allows you to buy and sell products and services in Sri Lanka. You can sell stuff you don’t need or find bargains close to home.
Is adsfly free?
Yes! A an adsfly account is free and doesn’t charge users a fee for posting their ads.
Will adsfly publish my address?
No. What's great about adsfly is that the location that’s shown in your ad is always approximate, and never an exact address. We want to make the process very safe for you.
How do I add an ad on adsfly?
Create a profile and click the camera icon. Fill out your title, description, add your photos, and click Post ad. It’s that easy.
How do I edit or delete an ad?
When you view your own ad, you will find the option to edit or delete.
How do I buy something I want from adsfly?
adsfly is simply the platform used to facilitate buyers and sellers and is not involved in the actual exchange of goods. After you’ve explored and found something you like, click the chat button to send the buyer any questions you may have. Buyers and sellers agree on an offer and a safe meeting place where the exchange is made.
Using adsfly
What can I buy or sell on adsfly?
Most items and services that are not deemed illegal by the laws of Sri Lanka can be sold through adsfly. However, here are a some things that aren’t allowed:
- Photos that don't clearly show the item
- Photos that show lewd or pornographic material
- Products that infringe copyright or trademark laws
- Defective or poor quality items
- Items in violation of good manners, law or legal restrictions
- Products that are published as "free" but with no intention of giving them away for free
- Items that do not have a realistic price
- Blood, body fluids or body parts
- Burglary tools
- Counterfeit currency
- Counterfeit products
- Seized goods
- Government and transit uniforms, IDs and licences
- Camouflage clothing. accessories, or material
- Illegal drugs and drug paraphernalia
- Hazardous materials
- Destructive devices and explosives
- Identity documents, personal financial records and personal information
- Products that encourage or facilitate illegal activities
- Badges and uniforms pertaining to police and other security forces
- Prescription drugs
- Stolen property
- Weapons and related items
In addition, adsfly reserves the right to remove any users or ads that blatantly ignore adsfly policy and/or the laws of Sri Lanka including the intent behind them.
Safety Tips
We want to make your experience using adsfly as safe and scam free as possible. With this in mind, please review the following recommendations for your security:
- Utilize the chat feature - ask questions to vet out the seller
- Insist that users meet you in a public place with high visibility like a shopping mall
- Bring a friend to your meeting place if you can
- Ignore and report users who ask you to wire money, send or accept a cheque, or ask for bank account and personal information. Report these users to info@adsfly.lk
- If you decide to accept shipment, make sure the payment method is safe, and that the seller and carrier are reputable.
